Pictures! Day 14 (Washington, DC)

Waiting for the train…

Are we supposed to look happy in front of the Iwo Jima Memorial? Is that allowed?

Yeah, that’s a lion. In front of the Netherlands Carillon.

Check out the view behind us!

The famous folding bikes! They were amazingly handy in DC!

Lincoln is in there.

The reflecting pool was under construction, which was a bummer, but gives us an excuse to go back!

Hanging out with Lincoln!

It rained (apparently) while we were inside hanging with Lincoln.

The Washington Monument

The Federal Reserve!

That’s the White House!

The zero mile marker – all roads were supposed to be measured from here, but that didn’t happen. Oh well.

The day actually turned out pretty (but it got hot so we sort of missed the clouds!)

The White House

The Capitol Building

The Supreme Court

This is when we realized that we had been looking at the back of the Capitol Building, not the front!

Congress hangs out here!

Seriously. That thing is really tall!

Yeah, we had fun hanging out here (any excuse to sit down for a minute!)

The Smithsonian Castle

This dude was our friend.

And one last shot of the Monument.
